The Top Bridal Hair Trends We’re Watching for 2022

Lauren Pfaff

Less is more hair trends are in, putting the emphasis on your bigger picture not your ‘Do. Like most wedding trends, hairstyle trends also come and go. While it is important to feel like the best version of yourself on your special day, it is always a good idea to take the newest and latest ideas when putting together inspiration for your bridal look. 2022 is anticipated to reflect a minimalist bride. Here is what this means for hairstyles, accessories, and cuts we are expecting to see in the upcoming wedding season!

Loose and Textured Updos, Low Understated Buns and the New Chignon

Think “twist” on classic looks – Sleek low buns, natural ponytails, formal hairstyles such as a chignon with loose and airy pieces framing the face. Great for brides who want to avoid adding extensions and want to keep it simple but gorgeous.

Everything Boho

Following the minimalist trend, simplistic, airy, and laid-back vibes are going to showcase soft waves instead of tight curls, twists and loose braids. 2022 brides are going to lean more towards a lot of half-up looks that might incorporate different textures or accessories that look effortless and natural. The goal is to look like you spent less time in the chair and focus on the dress not so much the hair.

Middle Symmetrical Parts, Luscious Long Locks

As Bridal trends follow fashion trends and red-carpet styles, we are seeing more move away from classic, traditional bridal styles. Timeless glam is taking a back seat to the more current symmetrical parts, suitable for all face shapes and pairing it with an all down do. Tousled locks paired with a middle chic center part is great for a timeless beauty look!

Texture and Bring the Bangs Back Baby!

Embrace your natural hair whether that be texture, color, or cut – Brides are working to enhance the beautiful features they already have! Even getting a trim to show off their facial shapes! The curtain bang trend has made more women comfortable with hair naturally laying as it may on the face. This looks much better than tightly wearing, spraying, and constantly adjusting pieces that are forced. Hair off your face isn’t a priority anymore. If anything, that is the comfort point for many women these days.
